                                              Distinctive Captivity

This is a piece that was inspired by one of the largest birds in North-America the Bald Eagle. This birds was in the endangered for years. But recently they have become more and more populated. I don't have this picture anymore because, my homeroom grade 11 teacher wanted me to do a picture for him so I decided I'd do something Newofundland related and It so happened that I seen a eagle flying round and then I had the idea to draw it up for him.

                                        Loxodonta africana

If anyone is wondering about the name of this drawing " Loxodonta Africana " it is the scientific name for African Elephant. This was drawn and Entered in the Regional Drama Festival.

P.s Elephants are one of my FAVORITE animals. :)

                              Painted Faces and Long Hair

"I painted my  face--I stole up. Now you eat--all of you'"
       - William Golding, Lord of the Flies, Ch. 4"

This is a drawing of  a chapter four of the book. This was another picture I was in love with doing because, It made me realize that If your gonna draw something related to a book then might at well draw a piece of the book. How much more related to a book can you get. :)

Simon the Innocent

Some people may know of the novel, The Lord Of The Flies by William Golding. The young boy in the drawing in from of the Pigs head on a stick is Simon. Simon is a shy, sensitive boy in the group. Simon, in some ways the only naturally “good” character on the island, behaves kindly toward the younger boys and is willing to work for the good of their community. Moreover, because his motivation is rooted in his deep feeling of connectedness to nature, Simon is the only character whose sense of morality does not seem to have been imposed by society. Simon represents a kind of natural goodness, as opposed to the unbridled evil of Jack and the imposed morality of civilization represented by Ralph and Piggy.
Art is the product or process of deliberately arranging items in a way that influences and affects one or more of the senses, emotions, and intellect. It encompasses a diverse range of human activities, creations, and modes of expression, including music, literature, film, photography, sculpture, and paintings. Myself enjoy the epiphany, that you have made something that can symbolize. I wouldn't consider myself a artist, I'm not that experienced on creating something amazing. Actually i'm not experienced at all, only by my own skill. I had never been in art school or had taken any sort of lesson. I learned how to sketch on my own terms. I am also inspired by other types of art such as photography, sculptures, theater arts, etc. I have done pictures for family and for special occasions like Christmas. I have no talent other then drawing and other art related activities. I cannot sing, write a 90 above essay on my own, nor am I a amazing musician. I am capable of playing piano, guitar and bass but I'm not amazing. So I take pride in the one and only gift I have and I hope to be able to have a job that I can take it into use
